Upcoming U.S. Import Requirement Update (CPSC eFiling)

Effective July 8, 2026, eFiling will become mandatory for all imported products regulated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Importers will be required to provide all necessary data elements at the time of entry to allow customs brokers to complete the CPSC Participating Government Agency (PGA) message set.

This requirement means that additional product-specific information must be submitted for each imported item.

To streamline the clearance process, importers may pre-register product information through the CPSC Product Registry.

This allows customs brokers to submit an abbreviated CPSC message set, helping reduce processing time.

Recent updates indicate that completing the CPSC Product Registry process may take time. To avoid potential customs clearance delays, we strongly recommend that importers begin the registration process as early as possible.
