Important Notice: Mandatory CARM Registration for Imports into Canada

Effective May 20, 2025

As of May 20, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has officially implemented the Canada Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) system for the administration, assessment, and collection of duties and taxes on commercial goods imported into Canada.

To ensure smooth customs clearance and avoid delays, importers must be registered in the CARM system before shipping goods into Canada.
